The Ministry of Water Development (MoWD) of Somaliland, with technical and financial support from UNICEF, invites eligible and pre-qualified construction companies to submit bids for the drilling of one exploratory borehole in Odweine District, Dadmadheedh Region, Somaliland.
This activity is being implemented under the UNICEF WASH Programme to support improved access to water through exploratory borehole drilling in Odweine.
ποΈ Scope of the Invitation
The Ministry of Water Development is seeking qualified construction companies with the required technical capacity, drilling equipment, professional personnel, and relevant experience to carry out the borehole drilling works.
Interested companies are encouraged to carefully review the tender requirements and submit complete bid documents before the stated deadline.
π Required Documents
Interested and eligible companies must submit the following documents:
- β A valid certified copy of the companyβs registration or legal document in Somaliland.
- β A certified copy of a valid Tax Compliance Certificate or Exemption Certificate.
- β A current single business permit issued by the country of firm registration, or any other valid business permit in Somaliland.
- β Proven experience in providing similar services to international organizations and/or commercial companies, including work in remote project locations.
- β A comprehensive company profile, including a list of major clients and similar projects completed within the last three years, with project costs.
- β Evidence of drilling rig capacity, including percussion and rotary drilling rigs capable of reaching significant drilling depths.
- β A Bid Bond equivalent to 2% of the quoted amount, in the form of a Bank Guarantee.
- β A list of available drilling equipment.
- β The current location of all listed equipment.
- β Detailed profiles of a qualified Hydrogeologist and Master Drillers, including qualifications, work experience, and updated CVs.
- β Audited financial reports for the fiscal years 2024β2025.
- β Financial statements for the years 2024β2025.
